"There's no crying in baseball," retorts Tom Hanks in the movie, A League of Their Own.
Emotion is important to express, even in baseball. When I coached youth ballplayers I wanted them to draw on their feelings. There is nothing worse for hitters and pitchers than to be unattached from themselves. Professional ballplayers get into slumps by over-thinking their worsening situations.
When I was 10 years old I struck out twice in the jamboree for our Little League team. It was my first chance to play in a real uniform. I cried on the way home. My Dad, who was my coach, simply said that there would be better days. I remember that day vividly because I cared. Yes, I cared enough to cry.
Football as it turns out was my favorite sport. I think it was because it maximizes thinking and feeling. I get frustrated watching baseballers control their emotions. I watch the Seattle Mariners starting pitchers coolly hand the ball over near the end of games with a slim lead only to see it vanish. My emotions get worn just from watching.
I liked Lou Pinella as a coach. He made players and umpires aware. There shouldn't be too much cool in baseball. Sometimes crying is O.K!

What Is Treason? Fox News is guilty!
In America we are allowed to express ourselves in writing with so much freedom; and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Birthers and Obama bashers should have the right to opinions, but where do we draw the line?
I say the line should be drawn with FOX News.
The actions of this organization are treasonous. Individuals should have carte blanche when trying to state displeasure with governmental actions, but there is no excuse for a corporation to act out in a way to lie and misrepresent America in a forum of ideas. The bashing of of our president can be expected, but let it be said that Fox News is guilty of treason.
Fox News is guilty of treason. There is no doubt. What can be done about this? The court of public opinion would find Fox News guilty of treason.
Fox News is guilty of treason. The actions of this organization are about promoting treason. Put Fox News on par with al Qaida. They are trying to destroy our nation.

Donald Trump and Hair Management
Recently "The Donald" has generated some tea bagging, fringe element interest to his look at a possible run for U.S. President in 2012. Mr. Trump has joined a coalition of cuckoos who are often referred to as birthers. It is a requirement that Presidential hopefuls are natural born citizens. Birthers believe Barack Obama was born in Kenya or another place outside the U.S.
These supporters are hoping Donald will give the declaritive walking papers to our president by invoking his trademark, You're fired!
It's fun to laugh at this, but it's oh so sad to see that are fellow Americans who sometimes resemble fence posts in their ability to ascertain truths. How do millions of our countrymen accept the statements made by Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, or Rush Limbaugh.
A.Wise Thinks:
1) Donald, you really know that Annie Duke kicked Joan Rivers' butt in Celebrity Apprentice.
2) Donald, do you have a licence for that exotic animal atop your head?
3) Damn your daughter Ivanka is HOT!
4) From the penthouse of Trump Towers, does your hair descend in Rapunzel fashion?
5) According to Citizens United, corporations are people, so does your hair also qualify as a person?
6) Donald you seem to be on personality par with George W. Bush; but lack of vision and intelligence is a problem for most.
7) You do have nice quality suits to match your beady eyes, making a fashion statement.
8) Donald and Rosie, that's the ticket!
9) Donald, will your religion of Unbridled Capitalism appeal to the masses?
10) Donald, will wearing Italian shoes let you see the Leaning Tower from N.Y.C. ?
